海尼曼分級閱讀是專門針對非英語母語國家兒童學習的一套分級閱讀教材,這套教材最大的特色在于低級別,一本書一個句型,每本書的文字幾乎都是同樣的句式,通過同一句式的反復出現,在重復中不經意的為孩子輸入一些英語句法,讓孩子在沒有接觸英語語法的前提下,只是通過閱讀,就能非常容易記住內容,并學會正確表達。
整個海尼曼系統按照A-Z 26個字母來分級,在整個基礎上還按照年級的順序進行分級(GRADE K, GRADE 1,GRADE 2……)。
國內版海尼曼分級讀物分三個級別,Gk,G1,G2,3個分級共298本。海尼曼三個級別分別對應英美國家的幼兒園,小學一年級和小學二年級,每個級別里面又劃分了多個等級,讓孩子可以循序漸進的適應更高級別的學習。
G2系列(Blue System):共120本,分為Level C—Level N,十三個層次。60%小說故事以及40%非小說。
孩子讀完了G1,就可以讀G2,G2就與牛津的五六級別并駕齊驅(適合國內1年級至6年級孩子閱讀)
繪本簡介:
小駝鹿Moosling在路上發現了很多不一樣的腳印,他陸陸續續找到了留下腳印的動物,然而有一串奇怪的腳印他卻怎么也搞不清楚是誰留下的。
繪本內容及翻譯:
Moosling saw something in the mud.
穆斯林看到泥里有東西。
"What is that?" asked Moosling.
“那是什么?”穆斯林問道。
"Those are footprints," said Beaver.
“那些是腳印,”海貍說。
"Our feet make footprints when we walk."
“我們走路的時候腳會留下腳印。”
Beaver made a new footprint in the mud.
海貍在泥里留下了新的腳印。
"See?" he said.
“看到了嗎?”他說。
The next day, Moosling was out walking.
第二天,穆斯林出去散步。
He saw more footprints!
他看到更多的腳印!
"I think Rabbit made those footprints," he said.
“我想是兔子留下的腳印,”他說。
"I will follow them and see."
“我要跟著他們看看?!?
He followed them . . .
他就跟著他們....
And there was Rabbit!
真的是兔子!
"Rabbit!" said Moosling.
“兔子! ”穆斯林說。
"I found you!"
“我找到你了!”
"You did?" asked Rabbit.
“是嗎? ”兔子問。
Soon Moosling saw more footprints.
不久,穆斯林看到更多的腳印。
"I think Skunk made those," he said.
“我想是臭鼬留下的,”他說。
"I will follow them and see."
“我要跟著他們看看。”
He followed them . . .
他跟著他們.....
And there was Skunk!
真的是臭鼬!
"Skunk, I found you!" said Moosling.
“臭鼬,我找到你了! ”穆斯林說。
"I followed your footprints!"
“我跟著你的腳印走了!”
"Good for you!" said Skunk.
“太好了!”臭鼬說。
Next, Moosling followed some very little footprints.
接下來,穆斯林跟著一些很小的腳印。
"I found you, Mouse!" said Moosling.
“我找到你了,老鼠! ”穆斯林說。
Mouse was not happy.
老鼠不高興。
She was taking a bath.
她正在洗澡。
"Moosling, please!" she cried.
“穆斯林,求你了!”她叫道。
"Stop following us all the time!"
“別老跟著我們!”
"Sorry!" said Moosling.
“對不起! ”穆斯林說。
Then Moosling forgot all about Mouse.
然后穆斯林把老鼠的事全忘了。
He saw new footprints!
他看到了新的腳印!
They were not like any of the other footprints.
他們不像其它的腳印。
He followed them up and down and this way and that way.
他跟著這些腳印這里那里都走遍了。
But he couldn't find the animal who had made them.
但他找不到是什么動物留下的。
Moosling saw Hoot up in a tree.
穆斯林看見樹上霍特(貓頭鷹)在叫。
"Hoot, you are wise," said Moosling.
“霍特,你很聰明,”穆斯林說。
"Who made these footprints?"
“這些腳印是誰留下的?”
"Go look in the pond and you will see," said Hoot.
“去池塘里看看,你會發現的”霍特說。
Moosling ran to the pond and looked in.
穆斯林跑到池塘里往里看。
"I made those footprints!" Moosling said.
“是我留下的腳印!”穆斯林說。
Then he laughed, and Hoot laughed, too.
然后他笑了,霍特也笑了。
