" Time for bed," said Winnie the Witch, as the clock struck twelve. Witches always go to bed at midnight. Winnie turned off the lights and went upstairs.

“該睡覺了”溫妮說，此時大鐘正敲響十二點，女巫總是午夜才睡覺的，溫妮關上燈，走上樓。

She brushed her teeth, washed her face, put on her nightie and climbed into bed. In two minutes she was snoring.

她刷了牙，洗了臉，爬上床。兩分鐘后就呼呼大睡了。

Wilbur, her big black cat, was already asleep. He was curled up in his basket, dreaming.

威爾伯，她的大黑貓早就睡著了。他正蜷在籃子里做美夢呢。

Two minutes later, Wilbur woke up. He could hear a funny noise in the garden.

兩分鐘后，威爾伯驚醒了，他聽見花園里傳來一陣滑稽的喧鬧聲。

He crept to the cat flap and peeped out. There was something on the doormat. Something with big green eyes.

他爬到貓洞邊向外張望，門墊上有什么東西，一個長著綠色大眼睛的東西。

" Meeoww!" cried Wilbur, and he jumped back. A long nose poked through the cat flap.

“喵嗚，”威爾伯大叫，并且跳了回來，一只長長的鼻子從貓洞伸了進來。

Then there was a puff of smoke. The cat flap wobbled and shook.

突然彌漫著一陣煙霧，貓洞劇烈搖晃起來。

A spiky body, then a long tail, followed the nose. There was a baby dragon in Winnie's house!

" Meeoww!" cried Wilbur. He turned three back ward somesaults and ran into the hall.

“喵嗚，”威爾伯大叫，朝后翻了三個筋斗，跳進了大廳。

The baby dragon thought this was fun. He ran after Wilbur. Swish, swish, went his tail. Winnie's grandfather clock wobbled and shook. DING! DONG! BOING!

小飛龍覺得很有趣，就跟著威爾伯，他的尾巴嗖嗖作響，溫妮祖父的大鐘擺動了起來，叮咚嘣!
