一場龍卷風在星期六晚上襲卷了池塘。池塘里的鯰魚啊，青蛙啊，都會飛了!他們飛到了堆滿干草的谷倉里，把騾子都給嚇跑啦!騾子又沖進了雞窩里，把小雞們嚇得四處亂竄!總之，農場里的一切都在這個周六的晚上亂套啦!農場主醒來之后看到這些，會發生些什么好玩的事情呢?

繪本內容翻譯：

A twister hit the pond on Saturday night.

周六晚上，一場龍卷風襲擊了池塘。

Catfish flew.Frogs took flight.

池塘里的鯰魚被卷出水面飛入空中。

青蛙四處逃竄。

Five frogs fell in a barn full of hay.

They scared off the mule, who ran away.

五只青蛙逃進了裝滿干草的谷倉中。

可驚嚇到了正在吃草的騾子，騾子趕緊逃出了谷倉。

The mule crashed into the chicken coop.

He chased all the chickens in a loop-de-loop.

騾子沖進了雞窩。

嚇壞了小雞，他們到處亂竄。

The chickens landed in the old cornfield.

小雞們嚇得高飛起來，降落在玉米地里。

The cows all mooed.

The pigs all squealed.

驚到了奶牛和豬，這下他們全都叫了起來。

The catfish fell in the pigpen trough.

The catfish splashed.

The pigs took off.

被卷上空中的鯰魚掉到了飼料槽里，

濺起的水花飛到了豬身上。

呀!小豬跟著龍卷風起飛了!

The cows were scared by the thunder'sroar.

They ran to the house.

They knocked down the door.

奶牛們被雷聲嚇到了。

So that is why, on Sunday morn,

there are frogs in the barn and chickens in the corn.

There are fish in the trough and pigs in the pond.

The sun is shining and the twister is gone.

Old Farmer Brown spent the night underground

with his wife, ten kids, and their basset hound.

They yawned and stretched, then gasped with alarm at their mixed-up, crazy, new animal farm!

And that is why, since Saturday morn,

the chickens are laying eggs in the corn.

The frogs are jumping in the loft full of hay,

and the mule is sleeping in the coop all day.

The catfish are dancing in a pigpen ofmud.

A cow is in the kitchen chewing on her cud.

The farmer's old house is the cow's new home.

And the farmer's ten kids never have to sleep alone.

Life is very different every morning on thefarm.

Now the mule hee-haws the five o'clockalarm.

暴風雨讓農場里每天早晨的生活大變樣了。

But the farmer and his family are growing mighty fond of all the silly changes

since a twister hit the pond.
