慢一點，Raymond( 第一個小故事)

Raymond does things fast.

Raymond做什么事情都非常快。

He brushes his teeth fast.

He eats beakfast fast.

Slow down,Ramond, chew your food,"Mama says.

Raymond slows down—— but not for long.

他刷牙很快，

吃早餐也很快。

媽媽說：“慢一點兒，吃東西要細嚼慢咽。”

Raymond dresses fast.

He kisses Mama fast.

He runs to school fast.

Slow down,Ramond, look both ways,"the policeman says.

Raymond slows down but not for long!

他穿衣服很快，

親吻媽媽很快，

上學也跑得很快，

警察叔叔說：“ 慢一點兒，Raymond，注意看路。

Raymond慢了下來，可沒過多久又快起來。

He reads fast.

He counts fast.

Raymond 和新朋友 Roxy( 第二個小故事)

Rayond sees a new girl next door.

He wants a friend.

Raymond看到隔壁新搬來一個女孩兒，

他想跟這個女孩兒交朋友。

“Making friends takes time,”Mama says.

But Raymond cannot wait.

He runs next door.

"I'm Raymond!"He says.

媽媽說：“交朋友需要花時間”

可是Raymond等不及，

他跑去隔壁家對那女孩說：“我叫Raymond。

The girl runs inside.

Raymond walks home.

"Making friends takes time,"Papa says.

女孩兒嚇得跑進了屋

Raymond垂頭喪氣地走回家。

爸爸說：“交朋友是需要時間的。”

But Raymond cannot wait.

He runs to the cookie jar.

He runs next door.

Raymond gives the girl a cookie ['k?ki].

She takes a bite.

She smiles with cookie in her teeth.

Raymond還是等不及，

他從曲奇罐里拿出餅干，

跑到隔壁家去。

他遞給女孩兒一塊曲奇餅干，

小女孩兒咬了一口，

笑了，

露出的牙齒上還沾有餅干渣呢!

"I'm Roxy," she says.

Raymond and Roxy become fast friends.

New Sneakers

新的運動鞋( 第三個小故事)

Raymond likes to run.

He is going to be in a big race.

Raymond 喜歡跑步，

他將要參加一場大型跑步比賽。

He runs in the house,in the yard, at the park.

Raymond runs so much he wears his sneakers out!

Mama buys Raymond brand-new sneakers for the big race.

They are white ,like clean sheets.

他在屋子里跑，

在院子里跑，

在公園里跑。

Raymond練習跑了很多很多路。

把鞋子穿破了!

為了他的比賽， 媽媽給他買了雙新運動鞋。

Raymond wants his sneakers to stay clean.

The race is starting.

"Ready?"

Raymond looks at the dusty track.

"Set"

Raymond looks at clean new sneakers.

Raymond 看了看布滿灰塵地跑道，

“預備!”

Raymond又看了看他潔白的新鞋子。

"Go!"

"Run,Raymond,run!"

Roxy shouts.

Raymond runs .

His sneakers get dirty.

“跑!”

“跑，Raymond，快跑!”

Roxy在旁邊喊。

Raymond跑得很快。

把鞋子弄臟了。

But he wins the race.

不過他贏得了這場比賽!
