The five little monkeys,and Mama,

五只猴子和媽媽

can never drive far in their rickety,

再也開不了那輛搖搖晃晃破舊的汽車。

這輛破舊的老汽車噴著煙，渾身臟兮兮的。

"I've had it!" says Mama.

“我受夠了!”媽媽大叫道。

"Let's sell this old heap!"

She makes a big sign that says,CAR FOR SALE-CHEAP!

她做了一個大的牌子，上面寫著，汽車銷售---便宜!

Then Mama goes in.

媽媽進去了。

"There's some work I should do."

“我還有很多事情要做呢。”

"Okay,"say the monkeys.

“好吧，”猴子們說。

"We have work too!"

"This car is so icky!"

“這車太惡心了!”

"So sticky and slimy!"

“黏糊糊，臟兮兮的!”

"How can we sell an old car that's so grimy?"

“我們怎么能把這么臟的車賣掉呢?”

"I KNOW !"says one little monkey.

“我知道!”一只小猴子說。

So two little monkeys spray with a hose,

于是兩只小猴子用水管噴射，

while three little monkeys scrub the car till it glows.

"But the car is still rusty!"

“但是汽車還是很舊!”

"It stinks! Oh,pee-yew!"

“他還是很臭!”

"No one will buy it."

"What can we do?"

"I know!"Says one little monkey.

Then four little monkeys find paint in the shed.

然后四只猴子在車棚里面找到了顏料。

Blue,yellow,and green,purple,pink and bright red.

They paint the old car with designs all around,

他們還在這輛舊車身上畫了一些畫，

while one little monkey sprays perfume he found.

一只小猴子還噴了香水。

The five little monkeys sit down and wait.

五只猴子坐下來等著有人買車。

But no one comes by—and it’s getting late!

"The car looks terrific!"

"It smells so good too!"

So three little monkeys start pushing the car .

The monkey who's steering can't see very far.

Five little monkeys all shout.

One crocodile says, "We'll help you get out!"

"We'll push this old car.
