RAZ是目前市面上最為流行的英文分級閱讀讀物，它的全稱是“Reading A-Z”。

它旨在幫助孩子找到適合孩子水平的級別，通過在同一級別下的大量閱讀逐步提高孩子的閱讀能力。

RAZ按難度分為27個級別，AA—C這4個級別對應(yīng)幼兒園階段; D—J這7個級別對應(yīng)美國小學(xué)一年級;K—P這6個級別對應(yīng)美國小學(xué)二年級;Q—T這4個級別對應(yīng)美國小學(xué)三年級;U—W這3個級別對應(yīng)美國小學(xué)四年級;X—Z對應(yīng)美國小學(xué)五六年級(相當(dāng)于國內(nèi)高中畢業(yè))。

而且它的區(qū)分度不是簡單地以年齡為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，還包括認(rèn)字量、語義難度、藝術(shù)復(fù)雜性等。

F級別的繪本句子比前面幾個級別的更長，重復(fù)句型減少，更多的是培養(yǎng)孩子閱讀的習(xí)慣和能力。

繪本內(nèi)容及翻譯：

“Would you like to go to my grandpa’s farm?”asks Jupe.

“你想去我爺爺?shù)霓r(nóng)場嗎?”Jupe問。

“Is there a mall by the farm?”Bonk asks.

“那兒有商場嗎?”Bonk問。

“No.” says Jupe.

“沒有。”Jupe說。

“Is there a skatepark?”asks Bonk.

“有滑板公園嗎?”Bonk問。

“No.”says Jupe. “But there are cows.”。

“沒有?！盝upe說，“但那兒有?！薄?

“Oh，”says Bonk.

“喔，”Bonk說。

“There are pigs, too.”says Jupe.

“那兒也有豬。”Jupe說。

“I don’t think I like farms,”says Bonk.

“我想我不喜歡農(nóng)場?！盉onk說。

Then Jupe tells Bonk about her grandma’s cookies。

后來，Jupe告訴bonk她的奶奶會做餅干。

“Cookies will help me like the farm.” Says Bonk.

“餅干會讓我喜歡上農(nóng)場。”Bonk說。

Soon the bus comes. “Ready?” says Jupe.

很快，汽車來了?！白甙?”Jupe說。

Bonk watches out the window of the bus. He sees horses. He sees hills and fences.

Bonk向車窗外面看。他看到馬，看到山和籬笆。

Then Bonk sees a farm. “Hello!” says Granpa. “You are just in time to help me feed the animals”.

Bonk看到了農(nóng)場?！澳愫?”爺爺說，“你們來得正好，可以幫我喂動物。”

Bonk gives hay to the cows. Jupe gives corn to the Pigs. The cats meow for their dinner, too.

Bonk給牛喂干草。Jupe給豬喂玉米。貓也叫著要吃。

Then Jupe and Bonk play near the barn. They swing on the tire swing. Bonk’s tummy growls. He smells cookies!

Jupe和Bonk在糧倉附近玩，在輪胎秋千上晃。Bonk的肚子咕嚕叫。他聞到餅干的味道!

“I think it’s time to feed someone else.” Says Bonk. “The goats?” asks Jupe. “The chickens?” asks Jupe.

“No.” says Bonk. “The monsters!”

“不。”Bonk說，“給巨人!”
