小貓咪看到天上的一輪圓月，誤以為是一碗牛奶。她想盡辦法要喝到這碗美味的牛奶，可是遇到了很多挫折。小貓咪對月亮的好奇和執著，讓我們感動，媽媽們看著這只稚嫩的小貓咪，肯定會想起自己的寶寶當初是怎樣好奇地看著身邊的世界的。

It was kitten’s first full moon.

小貓咪生來第一次見到滿月。

When she saw it, she thought,

看著圓圓的月亮，她心想，

There’s a little bowl of milk in the sky.

那是一盆掛在天上的牛奶吧。

And she wanted it.

她好想喝呀。

So she closed her eyes and stretched her neck and opened her mouth and licked.

于是她閉上了眼睛，伸長了脖子，張開了嘴巴，用舌頭一舔。

But Kitten only ended up with a bug on her tongue.

可是小貓咪舔到的，只是一只小飛蟲。

Poor Kitten!

可憐的小貓咪!

Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting.

那一小盆牛奶還掛在天上，靜靜地等著呢。

So she pulled herself together and wiggled her bottom and sprang from the top step of the porch.

于是她弓起身子，扭了扭屁股，從門廊前的臺階上一躍而起。

But Kitten only tumbled–

但是小貓咪跌倒了

bumping her nose and banging her ear and pinching her tail.

撞到了她的鼻子、她的耳朵和她的尾巴。
